THE INSPIRATION
Sweet English florals and the scent of the sea on the dramatic Jurassic Coast in Dorset, UK. Inspired by beautiful Lulworth Cove - the location of our wedding - this scent seamlessly blends sandalwood, clove, patchouli and lily. A romantic, deep & sexy scent.
5% of the profits from every Lulworth Cove candle sold will be donated to Coral Gardeners, who help to restore damaged and dying coral reefs and bring life back to the ocean.
ABOUT OUR CANDLES
Scents evoke such strong memories and emotions, and we wanted to find a way to transport you on a journey around the world and bring beautiful destinations into your home.
Our luxury candles are hand-poured in Vancouver and made in very small batches to reduce waste. Through our unique scents, we want to evoke a sense of wanderlust, adventure and calm, with each candle inspired by our favourite destinations. We use a premium natural coconut-apricot wax which is vegan, toxin-free, paraben-free, clean-burning, biodegradable and derived from renewable sources. The Crackling Wooden Wicks are made from FSC certified wood and are clean-burning.
We purposefully designed a vessel that could be reused and repurposed around the home and that would serve as a decor piece as much as a candle. Once your candles have finished burning, we recommend reusing or upcycling your vessel to extend its lifespan.
REUSING YOUR VESSELS
There are endless ways you can repurpose your candle vessel around the home and it makes a great decorative piece. To clean your jar, scoop out any excess wax using a teaspoon and wash the vessel with warm soapy water or place it in the dishwasher. Reuse your vessel as a plant pot, a cute makeup brush holder, a decorative jar...the options are endless. Alternatively, you can break the jar apart and use it in plant pots to help aerate the soil.
candle CARE & SAFETY
TIP 1: TRIM YOUR WICK
Between burns, trim your wick to ¼ inch before relighting. The shorter height allows the wax to feed the flame properly. It’s normal for the Wooden Wick to blacken when burning. Using a wick trimmer, nail clippers or scissors, snip off the black curled part of the wick when trimming.
TIP 2: REACH A FULL MELT POOL ON THE FIRST BURN
When burning your candle for the first time, burn it for long enough that you achieve a full melt pool. This means that the melted wax reaches the edge of the vessel. This helps to avoid tunnelling and ensures an even burn each time.
TIP 3: THINK SAFETY
Safety first, especially when it's an open flame. Do not leave your candle burning unattended, and keep away from pets, children, flowers, drapes, or anything that may catch fire. Burn your candle on an even, heat proof surface. Our vessels are ceramic and do not get as hot as glass, however prolonged burning may cause the vessel to heat. Place your candle away from strong drafts - this will help to achieve an even burn too. Once your candle burns down & you have ¼ inch wax left, it's time to wash it out and find a new purpose for your vessel. Put the lid back on between burns, to avoid any dust, debris or bugs from falling into the wax.
TIP 4: BURN FOR MAX 4 HOURS AT A TIME
This prevents the vessel from getting too hot and it means your candle lasts longer too.
